Class Descriptions

Level I

This class is for first time students and students who want a stronger foundation in the basics. We will focus on learning postures (asanas) and proper alignment techniques. We also focus on breathing awareness and inner attention. Typically, classes end with deep relaxation.

Level I/II

This class is for students who have already taken level I yoga classes and wish to deepen their experience and exploration of yoga postures, technique, and advanced pranayama (breathing techniques).

Level II

For students who are well grounded in the poses and practice of levels I and I/II. We will practice more advanced poses and longer holdings as well as breathing techniques and meditation.

Mixed Level

This class is a combination of basics, flowing postures, and sun salutations and for students of any level of ability. It is suitable for beginners, but it will be more challenging than a Level 1 class.

Gentle Yoga

This class is ideal for people who would like to focus on deep relaxation. It is wonderful for those who are recovering from injuries or with other special conditions. It is a combination of yoga postures, stretching, and deep relaxation, with a special emphasis on creating comfort in the body and maintaining core strength.
